chalazion-symptoms-ointmentMost often than not, we forget the simplest rule of washing our hands from time to time during the day. Busy as we are with a lot of tasks, we should not fail to keep ourselves aware of what these could do to us. Just days ago Tabby was chatting me about his left eye being all puffy probably caused by allergic reaction of some sort. I told him to observe in the next hours or probably like two to three days before deciding to consult a doctor about it. He kept on soothing it with hot compress the night before, and some cold compress this morning. I was rather thinking this was somehow related to his sinusitis and probably some eye strain or even fatigue due to long hours in front of the computer screen. We found out the next day that its really getting worse. Tabby decided to give a call to a friend physician. He was asked to undergo certain tests like sort of taking photographs of your eyes and lifting the eyelid. It was diagnosed as a chalazion, an infectious disease caused normally by bacteria. Good thing it was nothing major. I was worried all the time here. I was awake passed midnight waiting for him to come home from the hospital. So that was it, he was tasked to drink some medicine and some eye ointment to put inside his eye at hours interval. It should be gone by less than a week, more than that means a different thing.
