Mt. Charleston, Nevada

What a perfect cool day to head off to one of the country’s known tourist (and locals alike) destination. The snow-capped mountain is about 30-mile drive from where we reside. We got up early and hit the road by 7AM. We got there in an hour or so, it was indeed a breathtaking view seeing the mountains and trees from being 8000 ft. above ground. It was like seeing a view from a movie like my favorite Lord of the Rings where you see great vast lands. I knew I was going to absolutely love this place. After my 20 (almost 21) years of life, I could finally say to myself that I am seeing the majestically created world God has given us. I ain’t stopping here, I have always dreamed of traveling far and wide across the globe. And that’s going to mean a lot years in the countdown but hey! only God knows. And with a positive vibe going on in me, (and also because I am inspired everyday to know I have two of the most important people in my life as of today to live with soon..) I know that with God’s grace, nothing is impossible.

This is actually our first encounter with the famous white and cold snow! I know I’ll be laughing at myself in the future for saying so in this post. Hehehe. Oh well, pretty obvious we did have fun right? Here we are at the snow ski area where lots of people came pouring out. The months of winter can’t be here for long you know. Might as well enjoy while it still lasts.

My Dad is also having the time of his life. Ever since we arrived he has not stopped showing the world to us. He’s so excited and happy you could see him ever so young again.
Danielle, on the other hand, found this RubberMaid rectangular plastic cover he tried to use as a ski board. See how that worked! He sled down and we all laughed our hearts out!
Kristy, me, and the ice. It was frozen snow. Kinda hard sticking to the ground that is. Very dangerous and slippery too. Haven’t I mentioned yet that Kristy fell with her butt first while going down! Hahaha. It must have hurt! I’ll save her from the embarrassment of posting the actual picture! Peace sister!

The wonders of mother nature… I do wish I could start painting again. It has been a year or two since I’ve actually haven’t even made a sketch or yet a doodle. I’m somehow saving probably those days when Yzzy might find it in her to paint to. She could be like Mommy you know - or even way better. That would really make both Daddy and Mommy very happy, Yzzy. The missing ingredient there is to find some scenic views for an inspired painting. Hmm… By then we’ll probably look for a travel public relations company so we don’t have to worry too much on where to go right?
