2009: The Year that was.
December 31, 2009 - January 1, 2010
Whoa! I’m so blank for words yet I have a lot to thank God for. 2009 wasn’t really a very very happy one yet it is indeed meaningful and full of heartfelt sacrifices and ofcourse, triumph. 2009, the year that was. In fact, it is the year we got to experience some once in a lifetime (I hope) experiences - typhoon Ketsana “Ondoy” and the heavy rains of typhoon Parma “Pepeng”. Who could ever forget the cause of the triggering massive flooding and landslides in the Metro Manila Area and other parts of Luzon… But I am grateful still we were spared from this backfire from Mother Nature. It was also the year we would remember as a start of a new life. A beginning to a life filled with memories with our Dad. Its been a long while really. Life indeed is too short not to be lived at its fullest. I am also very blessed and thankful that Tabby and I are still together in this. I may be away but I know he is doing much as he can to ensure he could give our daughter a life she deserves - to the point of separation sacrifice. We have been through a whole lot but I know there could be loads to come… Just a little sacrifice won’t hurt, as long as we hold on to what we believe we can do - we can really stand out and make a difference. We can always make our lives better in tremendous ways by each decision we make everyday - (Lesson learned from Dad.) Soon, very soon, we will all be together as a family.
So where was I? My family wanted to celebrate New Year with fireworks, but hey! You can’t have them in your hands here in Las Vegas (as far as I know) because they will only be displayed on top of hotels near The Strip.
I was excited I even got a picture for Plurk friends before we left! ![]()

Since it was a bit early, we decided to spend some time at Circus Circus.

You might ask, but it is like a real Circus inside! Lots of games, gymanasts, carousels, you name it!

Here’s Bumblebee! Someone might win that today!

So here’s the parking lot I was talking about. We’re on the 2nd floor parking lot of Greek Isle Hotel. There are lots of people here too. Dad actually decided we see the fireworks from afar without having to push ourselves through a thick crowd. This should do I guess, look there’s Wynn and Encore Hotels!

Happy New Year Daddy!

Here’s a clear video of the beginning of the fireworks display. I didn’t even attempt to upload my own shot because its not that good. Thanks to the very COLD weather and the not so nice camera. ![]()
