Kids toys are important especially for the early stages in childhood. When purchasing toys for my child as well as videos, I make sure that I buy educational ones. The best time to learn is during the toddler years because children seem to be the most curious during these years. It’s also when they learn to talk and ask questions non-stop. Some questions can even be mind boggling for us parents and when we finally think of the answer to give them, it’s followed with another question: Why?
Kids are brilliant …

Back when I was living in Cagayan de Oro, my partner and I have been planning to go to Disney World with our 1-year old daughter. My mom says that we should wait until she gets older so she can enjoy it more, since she might be too young to remember or even too young to have fun and enjoy the landmarks and rides. That’s where she’s wrong. Just bonding with my family in a place my partner and I have been dying to go to since we were kids …

A few days ago, a burglar came into my friend’s house thru the garage. The garage walls are made of bamboo wood designed to let the breeze come in. Recently, because of this rotational brownouts happening in the city where I came from, she bought a generator set. Andy made a hole in the garage wall just enough for the generator set’s muffler and it’s motor to peak out, the hole served as an exhaust for the generator since it gives off warm air or heat when it’s running. And …

Ever since I was a child we were never really bought expensive or branded stuffs for clothes, shoes, bags, and the like. Back then we never really understood why that’s the case and we would just drool over our classmates and friends who have them. As time went buy we understood there are so much stuffs to pay like bills and our tuition fees which were much more important than the clothes, shoes, bags, and everything else.
It was when I had a job of my own that I could buy …

30 days and counting, it’s nearly summer! Break out the camping tents and away we go. Some people want sunning themselves on beaches, I want spending time in the forests. It’s a great way to pass the time with family and friends. I love camping because of the many memories I spent with my family. I remember one time when we went on a wild life camping with my Dad and male relatives only. We bought only the barest minimum, intending to live off the wild by fishing and foraging. …

My 12-year old nephew came home from school last night and asked me to help him research on a project for his science class. Today’s discussion was about different fire protection products, fire extinguishers and CO2 fire extinguishers. It was something that he was so excited about. Since he was five, friends and family members asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and he always had the same answer: “I want to be a fireman.”
His father — my brother-in-law — was assigned to work in New …

An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. It was so ironic that it should happen during the tail end of El Nino season. I still remember the day I fussed when my mother bought a fire extinguisher for my apartment. I jokingly said, a bucket of water would do if it did happen. That was 6 months ago. Bless my mom’s heart for foreseeing such need. A fire extinguisher saved my life.
It happened on May 9, 2010, I was sitting around in my apartment waiting for …

My husband and I spent both rest days watching Chinese movies such as Mulan, Red Cliff, Ip Man and Ip Man 2. He’s into movies that involve a lot of martial arts and the Chinese are one of the best when it comes to those. Sometimes it becomes a bit corny when you see them jump up in the air and beat each other up for several seconds, defying the law of gravity. The movies we watched today weren’t like that, thank God. They were actually all based on true …

I never knew the kind of money stock trading can make let you have until a friend of mine who was into online stock trading was where she wanted to be in just a little more than a year. Although trading activities aren’t free of charge and have a high risk level and complexity, it all depends on the nature of the state legislation involved. The inexperienced stock traders and investors face several costs like taxes and other fees to be paid for the brokerage and other services like buying …

I’m getting nervous about my best friend’s pregnancy – not that there’s anything wrong with it – but the guessing game of whether it’s a girl or a boy has made me a bit tense. All of her family members want a girl this time and most of our friends as well. Her husband’s relatives, on the other hand, have mixed opinions on what’s better for Ella and her infamous short temper.
Just the other day, Ella’s husband’s sister (who is a single mom) and her 7-year old daughter were arguing …

The day that we moved into our new home was a memorable one for many reasons. We discovered that there was no running water to the home that we had bought because of the fact that all of the pipes had collapsed underground. The moving truck that we had hired got lost on the way there. We had no electricity because there was a problem with the old wiring in the home. There was no Cable Providers in my area and so no tv. If it could …

Oh no! My web hosting company failed me again. Downtime costs me thousands, and thousands more as they try to find solutions to the problem. This must not happen.
I’m tired of my slow and always offline web hosting provider. And I hate when it does not keep up with the demands of my domain?
Web hosting is a common thing nowadays, more and more companies are offering their rates to us, but …

Get to know your style!

There is no business like showbiz-ness as they say…
Why news about stars and celebrities rank higher than any major news in the world combined.

those who criticize our idols and defend them for their imperfections. Paparazzi run amok just to
get a glimpse of them.
But are we getting the facts right? We love to chitchat with our friends, colleagues, family members and admittedly, we do flaunt what we know and would love …
