Look! See what Yzzy does out of fun out of a boring day…She is practically sweeping the floor just like how Mama and the household help does.Yzzy has a way of mimicking or imitating closely how one thing is done. She does it quite perfectly that is. She even moves the door to get into that out of reach area at the back that needs sweeping What a kid. Mommy and Daddy are so proud. It’s time for Yzzy’s monthly visit to her Pediatrician. Luckily, Dr. Imperio has his schedule very flexible for us and it could be done at his home clinic which is nearer our place than having to go to the hospital clinic he has. Today, she is scheduled to have her Hepatitis A shot. Being the brave Dad, Tabby has always been and will be the one holdingYzzy during times like this one. I just couldn’t stand having my daughter feel that needle pain. But much to our surprise, …

Its safer here than being on the road right? Soon when they grow up to be a little bigger, they will surely have fun with dolls and stuffed toys. More updates coming soon!

At exactly 3PM February 1, 2010 in the Philippines she was madly running around her alphabet mat! And I’m seeing it live via Skype! Tabby was crying! I was so overwhelmed I came out rushing from the room to call Yzzy’s Grandma Lina and Grandpa Rey who were so happy to see her walk for the first time too! I’m so happy to witness this experience…I wanted to teleport you know! I was like super “Daddy look! She can walk already!” and …

A rule of thumb: Less is more. The less a toy does, the more opportunity a child has to create and learn from it. Simple toys are easier for children to use, require less supervision and last longer.
1. SAFETY FIRST
Toys should match a child’s developmental level and age and should not contain unsafe, toxic or flammable materials, sharp corners or small, detachable parts. They should also be clean.
2. DURABILITY
To survive a child’s repeated handling, a toy must be made of sturdy, reliable materials.
3. EASY TO USE
A child must be able …

Look how my baby has grown already! She’s a toddler now. She’s pretty much doing great on learning how to walk, and socializing too. She even improves everyday with her “unknown” language. She’s quite noisy really. But she does know how to point out Mommy in the big computer screen when I initiate a video call. She really is big now. I could use a penny laine baby book now that I have so much pictures of her. I do know that I still have to make her a baby …
