It’s Yzzy’s Great Grandma’s special day today. Despite us not being to come home and celebrate it with her, I’m happy that she is with two of the many people that love her dearly. They had a get together at the Apple Tree Resort together with Tabby’s family. Mama has been more than just a blessing to us. For the many years that she has taken care of me and my three other siblings, she still lives today taking care of my little one. Thank you so much …

2012…2012…I’m just glad you still came. A few days ago, Typhoon Sendong left a mark in history by hitting and causing damage and lives lost to Northern Mindanao areas. Thankfully, most of them are safe. I have some relatives who definitely lost their homes and one that lost a child. I was even worried about the box I sent if it actually arrived in the city or still on its way to the city. It was packed with goodies for everyone back home from us here. It …

Today I got a mailed letter from the National Visa Center asking to verify all personal information with regards to this case. It is also asking me to sign off on who I would declare to be the “agent” or the person who will be receiving the case letters and updates in behalf of my underage daughter. This also serves as an invoice for the Affidavit of Support which I would be filing in soon after payment is made. Hopefully all goes well! Looks like Yzzy would be …

I miss my little one! Its been 3 days since we haven’t had a Skype conversation. Tabby’s pretty busy with work issues that needs his utmost attention. I have also been busy working a 12-hour shift for the past 3 straight days. My eyes are so strained I could not even see a word when I am checking emails. Its been tough, this couple of days. Tabby and I have been squeezing in short conversations just to catch up. We both need each other more than ever… but …

Look at these two. Exercising in the morning at our lawn. Tabby and I started jogging together before as part of our morning routine. Now that I’m back here, he has been going with some friends at work who share the same passion of healthy living and lifestyle. They have been waking up early to start their route at 6pm on an uphill road by our subdivision. It is really a good workout going up as well as going down. Its approximately a few miles to complete one …

The third package finally arrived after a month’s wait. My pretty little one was too excited to try on her new two-piece swimwear. She looks better with this compared to the one-piece. Yzzy loves the water. She loves her bath time and afternoons in the pool. I remember when I was back with her, we used to fill her pool mostly everyday just to kill boredom and have fun under the sun. We then recycle the water and pour them on the flowers and plants on the wide …

Daddy leaves for Davao today to do some work and will be back after 3 days. This is the second time he left Yzzy for more than a day. Hopefully our little angel will behave herself with her Grandmama and ate’s. Tabby is busy juggling both work and home issues. He has been on top of everything that needs to be done as much as he can. He might not always make it to a mother’s point of view, but I know he is giving out his best in …

How amazing it is to have conversations with you Yzzy. Definitely you are trying to make us understand your little world. Mommy and Daddy will continue on making that little world of yours a little bit bigger every time. We’re happy you are having fun learning about new stuffs, the names of your toys, numbers, pictures, almost on everything you see and relate to all day long.
And oh, Mommy misses you too.

I am running 2 years and 3 months since my last pregnancy. Its been quite a long time that I can’t remember the quirky things I used to complain about when I was pregnant. Many of my friends ask me when the next baby bump is going to come.
And my not so little girl is asking me the same thing. I mean, not asking but wanting me to give her a baby brother. I just opened my laptop for the night and that’s the first thing that came …

My little girl is learning how to talk. She’s pretty much doing a good job remembering which is which. When I was back home with her, we used to have sessions during the night where we sit upright in bed and going through her books. She picks one or two for the night before we sleep.
I love how she really puts her full attention to it. She just loves learning new stuffs. It amazes me how she pokes me the next day with a new word! Mommy knows …

This is probably the most popular English nursery rhyme ever in history. And my little one has fallen in love with it that she sings the end of each line perfectly with her Daddy! She also shows those hands opening and closing to resemble the stars glittering up above. Here are the words she could get right… I wish I could actually take a video of this. Will you Sweetest? I bet Daddy will when he gets the time to do so.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!

Forgive me for not blogging right away. I needed some time alone and a lot of encouragement which I wanted to find in me that everything will be alright. I have been talking to myself even before I left. Trying to convince myself that the second time won’t be as bad as the first. Unfortunately, I was wrong for the first few days. It’s probably the physical “longing-ness” of what was to what is now. Maybe even denial at one point. I arrived on the 26th roughly about …

We all love to splash and play. That is, for us. Its one of the bonding activities we do to get out of the routine and just forget anything and everything…and enjoying every single moment with Yzzy. This is going to be my second to the last Sunday here. Tabby and I both wish we don’t have things to do like work so we can spend time together. But reality does kick in. Nevertheless, moments like these make up for those unspent time together.
I guess its about time …

September 17 onwards
My first week was chaotic in a sense that I was everywhere cleaning and arranging stuffs. It felt like the “mom” coming home and changing things according to what I think is best and clean and neat and well organized. Sounds too much? Yeah, I really felt that a year has passed and they have been coping up without me. Well, its not that horrible. I just had my way in making sure that a home is a place that’s very clean and organized to promote wellness and …

It feels great to finally feel the ground of Manila, Philippines after a year! I was airborne for almost 24 hours and I feel sick to the bones. The trip was very exhausting and I did not really eat much all throughout. I was probably lost in my thoughts while flying in between two places I call HOME. The arrival was smooth until I had to wait for my baggage to be cycled out from the plane. Everyone just wanted to head out and meet their families. I …

Today is July 23rd
And yes! I finally was able to book my flight back to the Philippines. I know, I know… It is going to be a year since I left this October. But good news, I won’t make it a year since I booked to be home by the 13th of September! After a long wait and hard effort, I think everything is paying of slowly. I am just so happy I cannot contain it. The flight planning, the training at work, the online job I have, the family …

From the looks of it, I guess my baby is suffering from prickly heat! This is one of the common condition in which the areas of the skin itch and feel prickly or stinging due to overheating. What more can you expect in a very humid country? I wasn’t at all worried (unless she got fever) except for the fact that she was very uncomfortable. She was very irritable and would cry about everything! Poor Yzzy…. Daddy had to call the doctor to have her checked just in …
