Another trip to Mall of Asia here in Manila. Though its very far from where we are staying, it is still worth the effort. We decided to hang around at the Discovery Center after a whole day of touring the big and wide mall. I swear you can’t tour the entire mall in one day!

The Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center (NFSDC) is the first Technology-Based, Highly Interactive Science Learning theme park in the country, housed in a 3000 square meter, two-level facility in the SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. SM SDC is devoted to providing the public- kids and adults alike- entertainment, fun, and most of all, a highly interactive way to learn and appreciate Science and Technology.

The NIDO Science Discovery Center offers you a whole lot of activities that surely any family would love. They have the famous DigiStar Planetarium which offers movies previewed on a dome-like screen up above you. It was cool really. Yzzy had fun following all the moving characters that seemed so real. The Gravitram which demonstrates a nice example of artistic engineering where gravity meets human design. They had this earthquake simulation room which we haven’t tried out since it was not open for the public at that time. The Virtual Reef which made a lot of people happy that day. Mr. T, the digital fish, is so wacky and intelligent. She even sang a birthday song for Yzzy in advance. See this video:

I even had the chance to write a message in the Time Capsule they had. Who knows! Someone might email me in the future saying that he/she read my message there! Pretty neat! There were so much more in-store for everyone inside! So I hope you enjoy these pictures we took while enjoying the wonders of Science!
