This is my Grandma Merlie. My dad’s mother. She used to work as a midwife cay back when they were still living in Manila. That’s the city where my dad grew up. They had to transfer here after my Grandma experienced a stroke. She’s all better now. I’m happy that I bring joy to her life right now. I think I’m giving her a new sense of meaning of life. I’m also wishing her more years and birthdays.. Mommy and Daddy have baked her carrot/pineapple cake with this picture here with the note saying “Birthdays are nature’s way of telling us to eat more cake!…”


I know she’ll appreciate such a cake baked with love and a hope that it will be a reminder to her that WE all care for her even if she feels otherwise at times.. We enjoyed the trip to Divine Mercy Shrine at El Salvador and the yummy food at Panagatan!
